Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how My Invites (“My Invites,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile app and website at myinvites.app(together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you create an account or sign in, we receive your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a unique account identifier and the email and name you authorize that provider to share. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
- Invitation content. Information you add to create invitations — such as event names, dates, descriptions, and any photos or music you choose to upload from your library.
- Guest RSVP responses. When a guest responds to an invitation, we collect their response on behalf of the host who sent it: attendance, party size, the names and ages of any accompanying children (provided by the responding adult guest), and optional song requests. Guest responses are collected for, and visible to, that host.
- Gift registry. If you use the gift registry, we store the registry items and the name and message of guests who claim a gift.
- Purchase information. When you make an in-app purchase — such as the one-time purchase that unlocks the custom template builder — Apple processes the payment and sends us a receipt confirming the transaction so we can unlock the feature you bought. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Usage and device data. We use PipeKit, a product analytics and session-replay tool, to understand how the app is used and to diagnose problems. This may include screens viewed, interactions, device type, operating system, and approximate performance data. We use this only to improve and support the Service.
2. How we use information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To provide the core features of the Service — building, sharing, and viewing invitations and managing your gift registry.
- To process and validate in-app purchases.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
- To monitor, debug, secure, and improve the Service and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
5. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access and update your account information in the app.
- Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing [email protected].
- Control photo-library access at any time in your device settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
RSVP responses may include the names and ages of children attending an event, supplied by their parent or guardian when responding to a host’s invitation. We use this information solely to show the host their expected headcount.
8. International users
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to those countries, which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
10. Contact us
If you have questions about this Policy or your information, contact us at [email protected].
